Cape May - Safety should be top priority in a car, on a bicycle or as a pedestrian. With all the distractions around, it is very important to stay alert. It concerns me when I see pedestrians and bicyclists with total disregard for their surroundings. So many people naturally assume because it is state law to yield to pedestrians, and share the road with bicycles; that they don’t need to be cautious. I have seen so many close calls in Cape May lately. People just walking right out into traffic simply because there is a crosswalk, and bikes are cruising in the middle of the road in front of vehicles.
