Cape May - Placing arches along a section of the promenade is appealing except for the maintenance they would require, considering the high winds and possible hurricane damage. If the arches are maintained as poorly as the pavilion at the cove, they wouldn't remain very nice. The cove pavilion has been in dire need of maintenance for years. The rotted wood and shoddy paint work doesn't fit with Cape May's desire to become a first class resort. Instead of arches, I would prefer to see pavilion repairs and a complete resurfacing of the promenade to replace the present patchwork and mismatch of macadam.
