Cape May - To officials of CM: Why post restrictions on dogs on the beach and promenade and not enforce them? I politely told a woman, who had her dog off leash at the Cove near the pavilion after 5 pm, that there were no dogs on the beach and the dog should be leashed. She proceeded to tell me she doesn't need to obey any rules, she lives in CM. Really? So does that mean we are all exempt from the law/rules on the beach if we live in CM? With the lack of any enforcement why should anyone follow the rules? This is not the first time I have encountered someone with this view at the Cove.
