Cape May - Never in 50 years has Cape May become so divided. The control of Cape May City Council is absolute by just a 3-2 majority. Appointing 10 to 15 committees enables the majority on council to do nothing, wait for the committees to reach a consensus and then follow their lead. If it doesn't work or fails, it's the committee's fault. "We did not do it." It was a committee's decision and they represent the city. This is failed management of the highest degree.

Moderator's Note:
The buck stops with the elected officials, regardless of how they came to their decision. At the end of the day, if their direction serves the town, the representatives of the people will be reelected; if not they won't be.
