My block on Congress Street was a pretty combination of homes.

Cape May - My block on Congress Street was a pretty combination of homes. Recently, one of the homes was razed and replaced with a traffic stopping monstrosity that is completely out of keeping with the homes around it. They shoehorned the McMansion into a small lot. How does this happen in a city that prides itself on its history and the beauty of its tree lined streets? Did anyone from the Historic Preservation Commission get in their car, go to the site and see that it would destroy the character of the neighborhood? To say that I am sick over what is happening to the Cape May that I love is an understatement.
