Cape May - Mayor Mullock forges ahead with Kiwanis Park and avoids the real health issues of geese droppings throughout the park, and the fact the real purpose for the pond is drainage control and storm water control is failing. The pond is silted-in and the mucky bottom is contaminated by the geese droppings. There is limited water storage capacity that is a key component for local area protection. Sounds like D.E.P. must be involved and approve pond dredging, contamination materials relocation and restoration plans. City Council and citizens must approve the plan and costs.
