Cape May - Lack of parking is a false narrative. Cape May City Council refuses to enforce ordinances and a hospitality industry that wants and takes. There are over 500 owners, employees and lifeguards who hog non-metered spaces every day, all day. The food and beverage industry has over 1,500 illegal/unapproved seats. The parking committee has worked hard to solve the issue. Three solutions are at taxpayer expense: parking garage(s), satellite parking lots with bus service or take over the Seashore Railroad, run a tourist trolley and park in the right-of-way from center city to the canal. Courage and resolve are needed.
