Cape May - Just a little over 100 years ago, the Bolsheviks captured the Winter Palace on Petrograd (St. Petersburg) and Vladimir Lenin was in actual control of Russia. Russia, and eventually all of Eastern Europe, would fall behind a terrible Iron Curtain (a phrase coined by Churchill after WWII) until the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. During that time, millions of people were murdered during dozens of "purges." I am sure this is not what young people are being taught in our schools. If we do not remember what happened in Russia, it could easily happen here with the growing popularity of socialism.
