It used to be so nice to run, walk or ride bikes on the promenad

Cape May - It used to be so nice to run, walk or ride bikes on the promenade, but now it's worse than ever. There is trash, sand, cigarette butts, gum and weeds all over the promenade and ramps. Even beach accesses are bad with sand build-up. These are tripping hazards. I see someone get out of a city truck every morning, walk to the promenade, get back in their truck and drive around from one end of the beach to other; hardly doing anything.
