Cape May - It appears the mayor has turned over the management of the city to 10 or more committees. That's easily over 120 voters, plus their families, relatives, and friends that the number grows to over 500 voters who are Lear fans. But, wait, nothing is getting done. The committees work hard, have great ideas, present them to the city council and their suggestions and recommendations fall on deaf ears. When has anyone heard council have an open and transparent discussion? When the mayor speaks, he reads from a prepared text. What we get are more closed, private sessions.

Moderator's Note:
One would think the more citizen involvement in a community, the better for all. If it doesn't work out that way, the committee members will feel they're wasting their time and drop away.
