Cape May - I'm disappointed that the Herald published the spout about the new fire chief in Cape May. I don't know the new chief, but this is a direct personal attack on a public servant without substantiating the facts. Who knows, this attack could be from a jealous co-worker who didn't get a promotion. It seems like the Herald goes to great lengths to edit out specifics in spouts that would enable readers to identify the target of a spout. This should never have been published. Unfortunately, the anonymous nature of this type of publication does not allow the chief to face his accuser.
