Cape May - I would like to honor the police officers and first responders in North Wildwood for the speed at which they reacted to the sailboat that was grounded July 9. I watched two officers put themselves in harm's way of a badly listing 35'-40' boat to help get the two people off safely. The bad press for police should be well-balanced with the good that they do. I also want to point out that the lifeguards were selfless in their efforts as well.
