Cape May - I couldn’t help but notice that all the candidates in Cape May tout the cities surplus or discuss fiscal awareness, but no one has mentioned the actual employees of the city. What’s your plan for them? The DPW and Water/Sewer employees are the lowest paid public employees on average compared to the next ten municipalities. The city has money for every project and whim the council wants, but can’t find it in their hearts to bring those doing the work to a living wage so they can support their families without having to use sick and vacation time for second jobs. Do better.
