Cape May - I am a competition shooter, AR and Military style guns and shoot about 16 matches around the Country a year. I have been shooting a variety of different military guns for 40 years, Lets be very clear to those who (think) they know what they are talking about. The Gun that the shooter had at Trumps Golf course, WAS an SKS as some posted in the comments. It pre dates the AK-47 and has a longer 20" barrel vs. the AK-47 with a 16". It was modified to accept a magazine, the SKS had a fixed 10 round. NOW, the effective range of the 7.62x39 is ONLY about 300 yards. past that, worthless.
