Cape May - I’ve been a member of the NAACP many years. I had hoped for a revitalized chapter in Cape May County. It saddens me deeply to see the CMC NAACP become nothing more than thinly-veiled agent of division, intolerance and “wokeness”, as a mouthpiece for the Democrat candidate for Middle Township Committee. I have been on the zoom calls. These aren’t NAACP meetings. They are straight-up campaign meetings and the tone is very hateful. This political takeover is a violation of our NAACP charter. It must stop. Many members share my concerns. Change is needed immediately to save any credibility.
