Cape May - Higbee beach, nearly a mile and a half of unspoiled shoreline. A true south Jersey gem and my escape on the weekend. Ferries float by, eagles and osprey hunt fish, and the occasional dolphin jump out of the water. Why do boaters find it necessary to land their boats directly in front of someone in a beach chair? There must be a reason with so much open beach! Instead of salt air, I now smell your cigarette. Instead of hearing the waves lap the shore, I now hear your 1970s rock. Instead of watching the dolphins, I now watch you stare at me. Maybe next weekend you can move a bit down the beach.
