Cape May - The existing desal water plant can be expanded to serve our needs for another 25 years, cost 8-10 million dollars. The treatment is a series of filters that remove the salt from our existing wells. They are easily replaced, add another "skid" a series of filters to the current plant, upgrade the electronics. This was the original plan and approved by the State. Spending 34 million dollars to build a NEW PLANT must be paid for by the current customers. Don't be misguided, demand answers and facts on alternatives, construction & downtime, operating, debt costs & water cost.
