Does anyone NOT know beach fees/tags are Illegal?

Cape May - Does anyone NOT know beach fees/tags are Illegal? Who owns the beach? Do you get charged to walk down a public street? NO. That's why we pay taxes and you have the right to walk on the beach, anywhere! If it were fought, a borough or town would lose in court but it would take $$$$$ to do so. Think, it's no different than a local park. I have researched this extensively and it's all political and 99% Democrat politics. Lastly, If you sit in a chair between high tide mark and low tide mark, NOBODY can ask you to move, Legally! These towns are cashing in on tourism.
