Cape May - Despite the media's attempts to downplay escalating inflation, every one of us faces struggles to survive the challenges and costs of living on a daily basis. It's particularly arduous on seniors whose sole income is Social Security Benefits. Austerity measures are the reality when they have to choose between what foods they can afford to buy vs bills that have to be paid, not to mention extra fees for repairs and maintenance. They're between a rock and hard place with no way out.I do believe this is the lowest point our Nation has been in in my lifetime.
