Cape May - The county central dispatch system is a $6 million "build it and they will come" scheme. There is only one town's police department on the system, and my prediction is in five years, there will still only be one town on the system. It was a terrific maneuver by Lower Township to get the county taxpayers to fund their new dispatch system.
Moderator's Note:
The rest of the municipalities are welcome to do the same, and likewise save their taxpayers appreciable money.
