Since Republicans tend to win these races in a landslide, Melanie is pretty much guaranteed to become the first African-American member of the Board. Just as Republicans elected the first African-American State Legislator from our District, Antwan MCClellan. Democrats talk an endless narrative about “diversity” while it’s the Republicans in this area (constantly slandered as racists) who are truly advancing minority candidates with a message of equal opportunity.
