Cape May - Concerned with school safety, I checked the statistics in New Jersey. Since December 2012, there have been 180 school shootings, nearly one a week, according to the LA Times. None were in the state of New Jersey. In fact, from 1900 on, there were only two: one in Penns Grove in 1975, and another in Jersey City in 2002. The first resulted in one death; the second, one injury. Something is going right in our state.
