Cape May - For a city that professes to be wonderful for families — children’s playgrounds on Lafayette Street is a horrible embarrassment. It is not ADA compliant, the grass is routinely overgrown, the goose poop is everywhere, there is no shade and there are no tables for children and their caregivers to have a snack and water. Incredibly, the city put down new wood chips for the dog park but zero improvements for children. Why is it that other towns on the shore have multiple recreation areas for children but not Cape May?
