Cape May - A Cape May spouter complained about older workers collecting unemployment when their summer jobs end, suggesting, "Let's push to advertise these positions to younger people who are struggling to make ends meet." Those summer jobs are available to anyone, and anyone who lives at the shore knows all about it. Contrary to popular opinion, older folks don't all live in the lap of luxury on fat pensions. In fact, many folks stuck on fixed incomes with growing medical costs (and dwindling Medicare benefits) need those jobs every bit as much as young folks, who should be seeking full-time jobs.
