Cape May - Cape May is no longer the relaxed, safe beach town it once was. With crappy kids causing havoc downtown, 2 surfboards, a backpack, and a chair canopy stolen in broad daylight from the Cove beach this summer, it is shaping up to be a haven for abhorrent tourists and their delinquent children. Never have I personally experienced this level of disrespect from visitors in the years I have lived here. What will the town do when Cape May will eventually be compared to the northern beach towns? Forever losing it’s reputation as a “safe place for family and friends”.
