Cape May - Cape May County is reporting a banner year. Clearly that is surprising given New Jersey's high sales tax. Delaware has no sales tax. Rental costs are 25-30 % higher in Cape May County than Delaware. Dining out in good restaurants is 7-10% higher in Delaware. Very few toll roads compared to traveling down N.J. highways to Cape May. Why do people keep coming to the Jersey Shore when there are much better and less expensive options? Stop coming and maybe politicians will wake up. Maybe some Republicans may even get elected in N.J. if voters would wake up.
