Cape May - To Cape May City Council. Please take the money for Franklin Street School and create a library and community center. It will cost the taxpayers a minuscule amount. The existing library can be re-purposed. This is a no brainer. As much as we should preserve buildings in Cape May, the church on Franklin is finished. There is no membership, therefore no money to rebuild. Tear it down, make it into a parking lot, and put a memorial plaque up showing what was there. Steer any future black history money to the Harriet Tubman Museum and Stephen Smith House.
