Cape May - Both private cell phone and police body camera videos of the Vineland Police shooting have been aired. In an interview, a citizen said the decedent looked like somebody who needed help. That is probably very true, but the police who were confronted with a possibly deadly situation weren’t the ones who should be tasked with providing that help. Would the protesters be happy if the man had actually killed the police? The police walk into unknown, out-of-control situations like that daily. Do they expect them to decide to roll the dice and die, or make it home each night?
