Cape May - Because I sit outside while working at Washington and Ocean, I get many comments from guests walking by. At about 2 p.m. Sept. 26, a couple walked up and asked me "when are the dog days in Cape May?" I was confused and they said their lunch had been interrupted by a constantly barking dog sitting near them. It even snapped at two people walking by I was told. Their waitress said these are dog days and she rolled her eyes. The folks were peeved when I said we have a dog problem and every day seems to be dog days. We are going to lose these steady September people, and this may have been the first of many.
