Cape May - To all fellow sport fishermen out there, release your striped bass! They are more valuable alive to help rebuild the population after recent, heavy over fishing. No one really needs to take home more than one fish. Every week you see photos in the papers of people holding their dead, massive stripers or large numbers of smaller ones thinking people are impressed. All they did was help ensure poor quality fishing for stripers in the future. Those who keep those large stripers should be outcasts in the fishing community. Big stripers should be released alive.
