Cape May - Again, Cape May by resolution charged a “reinvigorated” Municipal Parking Advisory Committee to develop a “comprehensive” citywide transportation system to alleviate the decades old problem of insufficient parking in peak months. A similar Advisory Committee a few years ago came up with a recommendation to raise the parking meter rates in popular areas to discourage store and restaurant workers from using these coveted spaces while not proposing one additional parking space anywhere. I foresee, after a thorough study, that their new proposal will be to increase the rates on remaining meters.
