Cape May - Since 2014 the homeless rate in Colorado has doubled since the legalization of marijuana. This is factual and directly related to daily use and negligence on a personal level. So, what's going to happen here in New Jersey? The writing is on the wall, and we will all pay for this. It seems getting stoned is more important than having a depressed community, and it will, socialism and taxes will explode. How many people will have to die on the roads from stoned drivers? How many "children" will now be getting high? How many will be kicked out of school or fired from work? Time will tell...
Moderator's Note:
I tried to verify this claim of the homeless rate doubling after the legalization of marijuana, but could not. The governor (Hickenlooper) said, "There's no question that marijuana and other drugs - in combination with mental illness or other disabling conditions - are essential contributors to chronic homelessness." Others disagreed.
