Cape May

Yesterday I again observed a non-police employee of the city race through a red light into a pedestrian filled cross walk, yelling that they were coming through. Wednesday morning it was a police officer not even slowing down at an intersection, nothing new. I have never, ever in 15 years seen a lifeguard practice any form of bicycle safety. It is as if the employee handbook mandates disregard for traffic laws and endangerment of the public. So why do we complain when other bikers follow their example? It will only be a lawsuit costing the city $$ to make any real change in attitudes.
