Whose bright idea was it to plant trees in the narrow area between the curb and the sidewalk along our streets? It seems they consulted local tree experts but didn't listen to their expertise. First problem is the sidewalks, which are the home owners' responsibility. They are guaranteed to crack from the roots when these trees mature. The second problem is that these trees will certainly grow into the power and telephone lines. Well, at least we will keep the out of town tree services busy for years to come.
