We walk the Promenade every morning all year round, weather permitting. We find it ridiculous that Cape May enforces a bike ordinance that is not posted but fails to enforce two that are posted. Every day there are dogs on the Promenade and bikers well after 10, many riding like they're in a race. Sept. 15 we counted five dogs and one on the beach. During a craft fair in early June, we counted eight dogs in that contested area. Cape May said it was a safety issue with the bikes chained to poles! Really? We never heard of anyone bitten by a bike.
