The Washington and Ocean Street intersection is a driver's nightmare during the summer, especially during the weekends. Drivers have to navigate through buses, horses, bicyclists and skateboarders. Most troublesome are the pedestrians who either blindly or knowingly disregard the "WALK/DON'T WALK" signs. A government's responsibility is to provide a safe environment for its citizens and visitors. Cape May City should assign police, traffic aides or guides to this intersection during the summer, especially weekends, to promote the safety of all who travel through this intersection.
