Trump should not try to take over the Gaza Strip or organize resettlement of the Palestinians. He must assume we will pay to rebuild it. We shouldn't do that either. Palestinians attacked Israel on Oct7. and Israel fought back. This is not our war. Palestinians can either resettle in other Arab countries if they'll have them, rebuild Gaza themselves or live amongst the rubble. The US taxpayer has no responsibility to rebuild anything there or obligation to its inhabitants. Why Trump wants anything to do with the place is beyond me.
