There are two ways to fix Social Security coffers. (a) put more money in, or (b) reduce the $$ going out. As a retiree I pick (A). Here’s an idea, to greatly increase the amount of money coming into SS reserves. Petition Mr. Van Drew, and Mr. Ted Lieu, to remove the tax deduction cap limit. Anyone earning $176K plus, no longer pays any withholdings that year. That's it. It's called the billionaire’s loophole. Not asking anyone to pay my way, but rather for them to pay their fair share. I paid SS withholding against 100% of my income. How about you? Bigger question: Why not them?
