There are so many iconic images associated with the greatest generation. For me there is no greater image representing the twilight of that generation than Bob Dole saluting President Bush’s Coffin. That generation sacrificed greatly for us. We would be wise to stop, reflect and then try to move forward together with the same dignity that they showed us. I know I am an idealist, but we should still try.
