As a shop owner on the Mall I am tired of customer complaints about $2.00 per hour parking meters. and they add it only costs 25 cents an hour in Ocean City, NJ. I support the city and their need for revenue, but please not on the backs of the retail merchants. If the city looses the retail advantages just watch as the quality and influence of the visitors change. The city gave the bars and restaurants everything they wanted. That included loss of over $25,000 in parking revenue, closed streets & sidewalks, open alcohol and no police enforcement of 6 ft. safe distancing and masks. .
