Senate Republicans say the "people should decide" the next Supreme Court justice during the election. The people did decide when they elected Obama twice to nominate justices as part of his job. The Senate's job is to "advise and consent," not block a nominee. That is unconstitutional. Every poll says the American people overwhelmingly want a nominee hearing now. No wonder the Republican Party is imploding. The "people" never have nominated or elected a Supreme Court judge. The president nominates and the Senate confirms, not the people. Another example of party first, country second.
