A Rio Grande spouter wondered if people knew what the Confederate flag stood for. I bet he does not know, but will rely on the usual Yankee answer that it stands for racism and slavery. He must not know that five Union States, including MD and DE were slave states all through the war between the states, or that New York draft rioters beat and murdered blacks, blaming them for the war, or how about the New England slave importers and all their self-riotousness? The north had more than its share of racism and pro-slavery. Was slavery in Virginia different from slavery in Delaware? Fly the flag.
