As a retail shop owner on the Mall it is unthinkable the Mayor would extend anyone the near exclusive opportunity to extend his operations to public streets he deems need to be closed. No way shop owners can operate this way. Remote, limited table space, moving inventory, extra employees, utilities, security, weather issues, are a few reasons it makes no sense. Including retail is an excuse to grant special privileges in an election year. I hope this back-fires on all who are in favor of this con job.
