Atlantic City was up against newer casinos in nearby Philadelphia and New York that were doing much better than Atlantic City. The casinos that are now in Atlantic City are barely hanging on, because the city is "unsafe". Being a smart businessman, he cut his losses and shut them down. You may want to do your homework on Donald Trumps "empire". The man is a billionaire with successful hotels, etc. all over the world and will soon be our 47th president.
