About the collie at Higsbee beach. I was responding to the fact that the collie literally pressed its body against my legs barring me from my trail walk. I was not on the beach but on one of the narrow trails. The collie was not on a leash and the owner's response was that I had startled his dog. The owner has a responsibility to the other humans who enjoy the nature and bird watching trails. So, leash your dog and pick up its poop so that humans can enjoy the great outdoors as well as the other creatures that live or frequent Higsbee.
