Cape May

Picture this scene. I'm, a US citizen, I enter another country illegally. I get caught, tried in a court of law, found guilty of my crime, but I refuse to leave. People protest my conviction, they wave American flags while burning the flag of the country I'm in! They destroy businesses, many of them owned by Americans who came to this country legally. Police are trying to keep peace only to have rocks and bottles of urine thrown at them. They country's president is called a dictator just for enforcing the law. Sound like unacceptable behavior? Then why is it allowed in the US?
