A person commented on one of my spouts online, in part asking, "am I to think a poorer person deserves less say in his town than a wealthier person?" Well, I certainly think that all people deserve representation. I also believe people who actually pay for government services should have a say in it. Citizens who live in yea- round rentals don't contribute a nickle in property taxes, but place a huge drain on services all year long. People who pay high taxes on vacation homes use services for a few short months, and have no say in how their money is spent. The people who pay deserve a say.
