Cape May

As a native born American I am indigenous to the North American Continent. Like all indigenous peoples whose ancestors migrated here, sometimes by boat across the Atlantic from Europe or sometimes by walking across the Bering Land Bridge from Asia, we indigenous peoples share the heritage of migration from somewhere else. As the stages of migration roll on the early ones usually get rolled over by the later ones. That's just the way it goes. So, we honor Columbus as just metaphor for that process. From the Anasazi to Cochise, each group had a Columbus. On balance, we're glad he came.
