Cape May

Morey’s point was simple & fair: the public deserves clear expectations and consistent treatment. Everyone benefits from a civil environment—but that must include making space for legitimate disagreement or emotion. A citizen clapping in support of a firefighter, or voicing frustration over an issue that affects their family, should not fear being reprimanded or silenced. It was also telling when Morey tried to share examples of how other municipalities handle public comment more transparently, he was cut off. Dismissing that kind of input—especially from a fellow commissioner is a red flag.
