I witnessed an appalling scene at my child's track meet May 6 at LCMRHS. An eighth grade boy, horsing around, pushed his full backpack off of a high bleacher; clearly a foolish thing that teens are capable of doing. Unfortunately, a little girl playing, unattended, under the bleachers, ran under the falling backpack. It was all an accident and both parties were wrong. The little girl should have been supervised and the boy should know better.
